I am new to this......

I was just sitting here wondering what I wanted for Mother's Day this year. Why, I don't know I don't really even care if I get a Mother's Day gift, just time with the kids and grandkids, which is what I imagine most moms want. But I realized what I really wanted to know is how they felt I did as a mom now that they are adults and have a broader view of the world. For example the other day my daughter (she is 25) said she had several guy friends whose mother's still cook for them, make their plates, butter their bread, etc. I haven't done that for my kids since they hit the double digits. As a mom working outside the home 40 to 50 hours a week, Brownie leader, head housekeeper, etc, I didn't have the time to do that. Did my kids suffer from that? After my divorce and subsequent back injury when they were 9 and 13, I was happy if I managed a home cooked meal let alone cutting their meat for them. So what about you - do you think your kids think you were or are a good mom? I'd loved to know.
